چکیده
We introduce fluctuating hydrodynamics approaches on surfaces for capturing the drift-diffusion dynamics of particles and microstructures immersed within curved fluid interfaces spherical shape. take into account interfacial hydrodynamic coupling, traction coupling with surrounding bulk fluid, thermal fluctuations. For fluid-structure interactions, we Immersed Boundary Methods (IBM) related Stochastic Eulerian-Lagrangian (SELM) surfaces. use these to investigate statistics surface microstructures. velocity autocorrelations, find characteristic power-law scalings τ−1, τ−2, plateaus can emerge. This depends physical regime associated geometry, viscosity, viscosity. differs from τ−3/2 scaling three dimensional fluids. develop theory explaining observed power-laws time-scales dissipation interface fluid. then our introduced methods a few example systems roles fluctuations including kinetics passive active microswimmers in interfaces.

Numerical Exterior Calculus Methods for Fluctuating Hydrodynamics Within Curved Fluid Interfaces
We use exterior calculus of differential geometry to formulate fluctuating hydrodynamic equations to account phenomena within curved fluid interfaces. For manifolds of spherical topology, we present spectral methods that provide a discrete approximation of exterior calculus operators such as the exterior derivative, Hodge star, co-differential, or Hodge Laplacian. Our numerical approximation of...

Investigation of stepped planning hull hydrodynamics using computational fluid dynamics and response surface method
The use of step at the bottom of the hull is one of the effective factors in reducing the resistance and increasing the stability of the Planning hull. The presence of step at the bottom of this type of hulls creates a separation in the flow, which reduces the wet surface on the hull, thus reducing the drag on the body, as well as reducing the dynamic trim. In this study, a design space was cre...
متن کاملStatistics of fluctuating colloidal fluid-fluid interfaces.
Fluctuations of the interface between coexisting colloidal fluid phases have been measured with confocal microscopy. Due to a very low surface tension, the thermal motions of the interface are so slow that a record can be made of the positions of the interface. The theory of the interfacial height fluctuations is developed. For a host of correlation functions, the experimental data are compared...
